Adding softness to pool areas with Soften acoustic panels
Location: Hämeenlinna Year: 2017Scope: 140m2 acoustic panels
Located by Lake Vanajavesi, the Hämeenlinna swimming hall was originally built in 1976.
A major renovation was completed in 2017, with Design Petri Ilmarinen Oy as the architect.
As part of the renovation, the changing and washing facilities were expanded, surfaces were renewed, and a new pool with an adjustable floor was constructed. This allows the depth of the pool to be modified according to different needs.
In the pool area, Soften acoustic panels were installed across the entire end wall behind the diving towers. The panels effectively reduce reverberation while adding a layered and visually dynamic look to the space.
The material used in our acoustic panels, 100% polyester felt made from recycled PET bottles, is also highly suitable for environments with fluctuating humidity.
